Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American actor, voice actress director producer, and vocalist. An attractive, clever and talented actress, she is an example to Asian actors aspiring to be big stars in Hollywood. The early successes of her were boosted through her participation in a few popular shows. She played the villainous Ling Woo. Following her popularity, she was offered significant parts in Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). She delivered a stunning performance in the role of Japanese gangster O-Ren Ishii (Quentin Tarantino) in Kill Bill Volume 1 by Quentin Tarantino. At the same time she was also in box-office flops like Rise: Blood Hunter. In later years, she worked as voice actor in animated films, including Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason from Cashmere Mafia was a minor role that did not have any effect. Southland's highly praised police show, Southland and a recurring performance helped Liu to reestablish herself her status as a well-known actor. Liu is very careful in picking her roles to ensure that she does not become the victim of a highly competitive industry. While she's been embracing her heritage, she hasn't allowed it to limit her as an artist.
