Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez is a Cuban as well as an American television arbitrator ever since Caso Cerrado. Ana, who was born in Havana Cuba with her mother and father when she was 2 years old, relocated to Miami and joined them. In Habana, Cuba, Ana Maria Polo hosts of the prestigious Telemundo program "Caso Cerrado" which was the first Spanish programming to be nominated for an Daytime Entertainment Emmy(r) Award. The show was ranked in 2015 as the most popular Spanish-language programming at 4pm across key demos. Polo was born in Havana in 1959. When she graduated from Florida International University's political science program, she relocated to Havana and lived there for 20 years. After obtaining her PhD from the University of Miami she practiced law in Miami for more than 20 years. Then she earned her PhD from the University of Miami, and later practiced law for 20 years in Miami. Polo made her first appearance on the screen in 2001 when she was part of Telemundo's Sala de Parejas. Her legal expertise was also employed for other court-related programs. Literature Works and Accolades 1958 novel Los Hijos Muertos won her both the Critic Prize and the Spanish National Prize for Literature. Ana Maria Matute left Spain to move to her home in the United States in 1960. A breast cancer survivor, Polo frequently gives speeches and helps raise funds for the cause. Over the course of her life, she's been fighting to ensure LGBT equality. She earned her degree in 1987 from law school at the University of Miami School of Law in 1987. She is an active member of the Florida Bar.
